Our mission is to help customers navigate the complexities of international trade by ensuring compliance, reducing risk, and driving operational success across borders.

We are seeking a Senior International Trade Analyst to join our growing team in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who understands the regulatory landscape of global trade and is confident leading compliance initiatives, auditing export practices, and supporting market-entry strategies. The position plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory alignment and optimizing trade operations across geographies.

 

The Senior International Trade Analyst:

  • Conducts research on international trade regulations, best practices, geopolitical risks, and industry trends to support compliance strategies.
  • Liaise with internal departments and international offices to ensure consistent implementation of trade procedures.
  • Supports the development and execution of trade compliance policies and risk management programs.
  • Leads and supports internal audits on classification, origin, FTA eligibility, documentation, and trade-related procedures.
  • Designs and conducts compliance training for relevant stakeholders across the organization.
  • Serves as a point of contact for brokers, forwarders, customs authorities, suppliers, and internal departments such as procurement and logistics.
  • Monitors, documents, and responds to compliance issues, customer requests, and regulatory updates.
  • Maintains and updates trade-related documentation, procedures, and systems to reflect legal and procedural changes.
  • Mentors junior team members, sharing knowledge and ensuring consistent application of trade compliance standards.
  • Travels internationally as needed to support audits, training, and international projects (estimated 6–20%).
  • 5–7 years of experience in international trade compliance, export operations, or trade advisory roles.

  • Proven knowledge of U.S. and international trade laws, including Export Administration Regulations (EAR), HTS classification, and FTA documentation.

  • Experience working with or advising multinational organizations.

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Law, Trade, or Logistics (Master’s degree or certifications such as CCS, CES, CUSECO preferred).

  • Certifications in Supply Management, International Business, or Import/Export Compliance are a strong plus.

  • Experience working with governmental agencies (e.g., CBP, BIS) and foreign trade offices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and trade compliance tools.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage complex workflows and deliver with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multinational, cross-functional teams.
